    I agree with MB. Yes, there are teachers who don't use good judgment and therefore dress inappropriately. However, I would hate to have to have a dress code forced upon me just because some people can't dress profesionally. If need be, those people can be talked to separately.

    Every school has its different norms of behavior. A local school where I live has most people wearing suits and nylons. Another school just down the street from there has people who mostly wear sweats and shorts. Given that teachers face things like no air conditioning, dusty rooms, sitting on rugs, and dealing with messy art supplies, I don't think anybody in an air conditioned office downtown has the right to tell us what to wear. You need to decide for yourself what's appropriate.
