If you can hear my voice

A really cool chant I learned was:
Say in a normal speaking voice, "If you can hear my voice clap once." Normally one of two students who aren't talking hear you and they clap. You say next, "if you can hear my voice clap twice." More students join in but there are still some talkers. Usually by "clap three times, everyone is quite. Middle school aged kids love it. It also works great when you have combined classes or a whole bunch in the multipurpose room for an activity.
