The easiest thing to put together is a shoebox or small plastic container and then put all kinds of things in it, and give the students some magnets. Then let the children experiment. You can also make up a worksheet by drawing the objects and having them guess whether it is magnetic or not. I'm working on a magnet project for my learning center with small plastic or glass jars. I'm putting different objects in them with water in the container. The students will use the magnets on the outside of the jar. Hopefully this will work without loosing the small things.
