Two bad days is "a lot"? I have had plenty of really good days subbing too. Just because I haven't written about any of them, doesn't mean that I haven't had them. I have had many great days with the elementary kids in that inner-city school district. I have even had some good days with the middle school kids, the ones that are on track, and born-and-raised in families that actually give a damn about them (unlike my experience today). And I have done an outstanding job subbing for other school districts too (non inner-city). I may be doing this without a certification, but I have been commended by many other teachers for doing the best job possible with what little I have to work with. Sometimes the nature (background and upbringing) of the kids has at least a little bit to do with how successful a sub is. Everyone has told me that the problem is "not me". So I don't really understand what exactly you're trying to get at.
