I am currently completing a long term sub. job in first grade. I am filling in for a woman who is on maternity leave. I will be teaching, completing all planning, conferences, meetings, etc. while she is gone for eight weeks. Other long term positions might be filling in for someone who is on long term sick leave, or sometimes if a teacher has to leave mid year, a long term sub. will be hired to teach the remainder of the year.
