one we did years and years ago that our students absolutely loved. The teachers prepared a "Teacher Follies" silent-movie sort of play--all goofy and silly (LIke acting out Purple People Eater and Long Tall Texan, etc.) The kids could not get enough of watching thier teachers being so goofy. I remember us using the old "Applause" signs for the audience and everything. We had fun, too. All you really need is some fun-loving teachers, a few silly songs, and a badly-written melodrama. Our kids back then had to have "tickets" to get in. Since your principal doesn't like rewarding behavior, perhaps he would go for earning admission? You might mix some of what my school is doing this year with that old idea from 20 years ago. We're giving the kids "dollars" when they bring homework or get caught doing good things, and paying fines when they mess up. They have to have a set number of dollars to earn their Fun Friday event. If presentend as a Money curriculum idea, with a little currency exchange and banking, or whatever, MAYBE it could fly!
