| Field trip to local place--museum, park, etc. Balloons and Bubbles--we do this every spring, giving each child a bottle of bubbles and a couple of balloons to blow up. They have a blast. Then we pick up the popped balloons and it's done. Can't remember the name of the little book we read them about bubbles, but I'm sure you could figure out how to tie bubbles and balloons to something curricular if you had to! Depending on your area--in ours we can go pumpkin pickin in the fall, have Beach Ball party in May (plastic wading pools and sprinklers & kids go home soaked) Paper Airplane Event--give kids several days to make them and opportunity to research different models, then have a fly-off event. Winners might win the little balsam 25 cent airplanes. Let them make their own no-bake cookies or fudge. Making it is as much fun as eating it. (and if you MUST tie to curriculum, measure the ingredients!)
