Accelerated Math

Our school went head first into AM last year. I did not receive any formal training on it per se, but allowed myself a year to play with it and see how it would work in my room. I use it in conjunction with my math book, as I found it hard to juggle all the different levels that the kids were on. I set up a quarterly goal for each student and made a prize for them. ( we made AM buttons with a button maker.) I found that if I dedicated daily time to it, it was more successful. Those kids who loved math were great at it. Those who struggled faught it. Overall, it was a good supplement.
