They say By old, tired, not done yet
|
| The latest rational I've been given by the principal is that we need to understand that what they did was necessary so that weak teachers could be placed in their strongest area. In that way we could have a stronger over-all team. Interesting to me is that when concerned with weak teachers, they have hired only first-year teachers! No offense to first-years, but they can seldom come in as strong as experienced teachers. They departmentalized as far down as through 2nd grade, and the rationale given was again that they could make the best use of the strengths of the weaker teachers. So,,,,who do we point the finger at? Which of us is the weak one??? Talk about low moral! Small town, small town politics. School board likes the super they hired (he talks big and smooth), and unless you have clout (ie, money or position) and you value your paycheck, you'd better not get caught complaining--or reporting anything to anybody! The admin from principal through super & school board are all backing one another, and individual teachers have been told that we are expendable, and if we want a job, be glad we have the one we have. Union? Have you ever heard of tars and feathers?
