I like to keep it simple

I also teach special ed self-contained learning disabilities. I use a chart on each child's desk that is purely for work completion- not behavior....when they complete a job completely, neatly, and in a timely fashion they
receive a sticker on their chart....but not immediately, it's during the day when I have time to correct...so they do have to wait a bit...when they have five in a row they get to go to my prize box - which is stuff that has been donated to my class - like stickers, pencils, small stuffed animals, Mcdonald's happy meal toys and books. when they fill their chart they get to go to the
candy drawer...which has candy bars, drink boxes, fruit snacks or crackers in it. I buy these at Sam's club so it's a lot cheaper.

I send out a letter at the beginning of the year to parents for donations of the above mentioned items and they really do come in...

My kids are very motivated by this program...it's easy to do and the only cost for me is the candy drawer and the PTO in our school donates $100 to my class for me to spend on that...so it's even less out of pocket expense
