Sensory Table
By Cheryl

Clip to ScrapBook
Potting soil is fun, but messy. Be sure to use potting soil not just dirt from the outdoors as potting soil is free of bugs, etc.

I also fill the table with bits of wrapping paper, its colorful and often shinny. Use ribbon to tie children's sissors to the sides and let them snip and cut the paper into confetti. Toss in small pieces of curling ribbon.

Buy rice by the large bags and enjoy it in its natural state. Remove some of it later and color it using food coloring and a bit of alcohol. I toss it around in a ziplock bag then spread it out to dry overnight. Make several bags of different colors and then add it back into the remaining white rice for a colorful mix. We made red, white and blue rice this year.
