Totally Understand By Lurker

No matter how many years we've been subbing, there is still something terrible about the call in the morning. I find myself waking every hour checking the clock. In the morning it is so hard to start my day, if I haven't| a call, because you 'never know' I end up getting nothing down. On days when I have something else I want to do, I get so much anxiety about the phone ringing. I have to use my caller ID so I know who I'm talking to, and can prepare myself. Even at 5:30 in the morning, I have to look before I answer the phone, but who else than the sub clerk would phone me so early. This anxiety |
| that you feel has nothing to do with your subbing ability and cofindence. I think it is natural to sleep if you know you have a job ahead of time. Plus usually the lessons that the teacher has left are better, because they have had advance notice too. If I get a call in the morning, it is often cause a teacher is ill, and hasn't expected to be away.....therefore the plans left are often inadequate and the students haven't been prepared for the teacher's absence as well. This is post is all over the place, but I want you to know how that I can totally emphasize with how you are feeling. Though Deni may be right with consulting your doctor, but I feel just like you.
