Hi Tamara! I would like to use 'Step Up to Writing' and would like to network with teachers who are currently using it. We do bookmaking on Fridays. I'm going to start with the green, yellow, and pink strips of paper to write a topic sentence (green), a fact (yellow), and a fact (pink). We also use Companion Reading, which stresses complete sentences. I might be getting in over my head, but like you, I am searching for new ways to teach writing. Good luck!
