family night

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! I have several ideas. Hope any of them are helpful. We have used M&Ms and Hershey candy bars and the books that go with them for teaching math. The kids and parents love that. On one family night, every class had a bar graph outside their door for the parents to fill out. Each class chose a subject (like favorite kind of movie, fav candy, number of people in family, etc.) and used little sticky notes to make the bars. They could just pull one off and put it where it belonged. Also, one year we invited the Newspaper in Education person from our major newspaper to come and do some activities with the families. Hope this helps.
