getting their attention
By Anne

Clip to ScrapBook
I also sing. I usually make up a tune because I can never remember the actual tune. I say " I like the way Kevin is sitting. He's sitting very quiet. He's ready to get started. Thank you very much." I have found that they get quiet pretty quickly because they want me to say their name in the song. I know these children very well. I had them in K and now in 1st. They are very, very comfortable with me and because they know I love them to pieces they tend to want to be a bit chatty or slow moving. I did have to have a very stern talk with them on Monday afternoon and I have not had a problem since.
