chapter book activities
By Tamara

Clip to ScrapBook
I am having my students keep a response log. After each chapter they must do an entry. It's the same format each day.
1. Today's date
2. Title of the book
3. Author
4. Chapter responding to
5. Summarize the main events of the chapter
6. Make a personal connection (I have a sheet of questions they can respond to that they keep in their notebook). Some are I felt..... I wish..... It was funny when.... I predict.... I liked.... and so on. It really gets the kids to think on a higher level. They are doing great! If you want all the questions that are on that sheet, just email me and I can get them for you (they're at school right now and I'm at home).
