I teach in Oregon, and we create puzzles from the different counties, and have students put them together. We also have students write the different counties for information, and then they use the information to create phamplets about their county. This year, I am going to attempt to incorporate our regions into a Native American study, and have my kids research the different regions and detail the different aspects of life for a N.A. tribe living within their region. (types of food, hunting techniques, housing etc.).I'd love additional ideas also! michele
