Clip to ScrapBook
What I do in my classroom is put out interesting materials that go with the science curricular unit we are studying at the time. For instance, right now my we are studying "water." I might put out a shallow rubbermaid filled
with water and have the students explore floating and sinking. I might put out my water filter (that I use when hiking), coffee filters, and a filter made with sand, pebbles and stones for the students to explore filtration. I might put sketch pads by our class fish tank for the students to study and sketch the fish. I might put out eyedroppers and pennies and have the students
see how many drops of water the surface of the penny can hold and observe what happens to the water on the surface.....

Just some ideas. If you let me know what unit you are studying, I might be able to help you out.

Melanie
