Homework
By Wynona

Clip to ScrapBook
I found picking up and checking everyone's homework to be too time consuming. I found another way while I was subbing and put my own twist to it. While my students do bellwork I walk around with my multipurpose binder (it
has a homework section). I mark who has done their homework and who did not. We check it in class. Those who did not complete the assignment are to fill in the answers as we go along. If they don't have the assignment at all then they must sit silently and listen or copy the answers that are given. I don't find it a fairness issue because if they did not do it they get a lower grade in
homework. Only now they have a second chance for the test. They keep their assignments so that they can use them as study guides or erase the answers for extra practice. What grade do you teach? This may be a factor too. If you have any questions post or email me.
