Homework Packets
By Jesica

Clip to ScrapBook
Basically, I like to approach this with as little fuss and muss for me as possible. I have a container with hanging file folders with all the children's names. I have another container where I put graded papers. I have
two students assigned the job of paper passer each week and other students help out if needed. On Friday morning, the two paper passers pull the papers out of the hanging files and staple them together with a slip for parents to sign on the front. The slip has a space for my paper passers to write the child's name and a space for parents to sign and date the slip. The slip has to be
returned by Tuesday of the next week so I know your parents have seen your papers. I tell the kids to staple the slip in the middle on the left side to makes sure no papers slip out. I very infrequently have to intervene in this process. I just pass them out at the end of the day and play Homeworkopoly.
