Clip to ScrapBook
I just started using folders this year. I included a brief explanation in my weekly note to the parents. I do not send them home on a scheduled basis. I save any graded work and then send it home when the pile gets big
enough---about every two weeks. I have a paper that has a column for the date, number of pages(so low grades don't disappear mysteriously), teacher comments, parent coments,& parent signature. I also ask that the papers be returned. I then file them and at the end of the year students get the whole packet to take home. I learned this from a veteran teacher. It has saved my butt when
there was a question of retention or whether a parent knew about the child's grades.

Sent these home for the 1st time last night and all came back today---yeah for this group!
