I am so tired of state testing, and the undercurrent feeling that my state (MA) doesn't trust teachers. Teachers are tested; kids are tested. Special Ed. students are held to the standards of kids without disabilities. I know that consulatants and test-making companies have made a lot of money off this new movement. I am not sure it helps the kids at all, and it certainly adds to my frustration as a teacher.
