Big, beautiful, EMPTY library

Just like FT, we too have a library that stays empty. Everytime I walk into the library, it is completely empty with the librarian and media specialist there to greet me (teachers). There are so many different reasons why the library is closed. The assistant is absent, she's trying to organize a book fair, she has book ordering to do, she needs reshelving time, the list goes on and on. My kids get sent back empty handed and I have to explain to parents why they couldn't check out books. But...we do have a BEAUTIFUL library. It is very frustrating!
