    You're right, Jan. I didn't really mean to imply that you were being critical (although now that I reread my post it surely sounds that way--my apologies--I definitely jumped the gun and I am sorry). I teach in an inclusion setting as the general education teacher and have a fantastic relationship with my special ed colleague. That's why I can't understand why the special ed teacher isn't in there guiding BLS through these IEPs. I also can't believe (although I probably should) that the parents of these students aren't questioning why IEP goals aren't being met. Let's face it, we all care very deeply about all the students we teach. Special education delivered appropriately is the goal of all those involved in this situation. It's too bad BLS doesn't have a colleague as caring as you to help her out with this situation. Take care and have a great school year.
