Teaching...

No, she doesn't teach. If you pin her down and ask her if you can bring your class for a skill, such as research techniques, she mumbles for you to put it on the schedule and she'll see. Even that seems as if it is putting her out. Unfortunately, the library is the only place to teach research skills. I honestly don't know what she does all day, but teaching any class is not a part of it. Yes pjm, you should tell your librarian what a good job she does,because not all are as good. BTW- Our school is 800 kids K-5, and not one class has a scheduled library time. We have a big, beautiful room full of books that mostly just sit there.
