windsock book report
By Susan

Clip to ScrapBook
Something I did with my 8th graders last year, that they really liked, was windsocks. They could make them out of construction paper, or whatever they wanted....... the big circle part had a summary of the book on it. The "streamers" hanging down from it had the characters, setting, etc... one on each. Then we hung them from the ceiling - they looked great!

Something else I did was the biography book reports where they had to dress up like the character, bring in items or pictures to explain things about the character, have a timeline of events from the character's life, and a journal entree that was written on an important day in the life of the character.
