    If you can afford it I do recommend getting either Office 2000 or Office XP. If you check out the microsoft office webpage or even just talk to a retailer - teachers can by the program at a great discounted price. With office you also get publisher, excel and more.

    Other programs I think are great
    Printmaster (I have version 11). It's a great program for making things like banners, calendars, etc.,

    They are the creators of the math worksheet factory, but they also have a vocabulary worksheet factory and a wordsearch program. There are free trials as well. I haven't used the vocabulary one myself "yet", but our school division has purchased it and the math deluxe program so hopefully in the next month or two we'll have them to use. From what I've read you can use the vocabulary program to make things like word searches, cross word puzzles, word lists, clozes and other types of worksheets.
