You and me both. My district just got the HM series too and we are all struggling to figure out what and when to teach it all. We have all of these bins of books and not sure how they are to be used. The anthology is so big and heavy my 4th graders already hate the book. We were told to use the HM as a resource and as a shared reading to introduce and work on reading strategies. In addition to that we are to do guided reading groups, independent reading workshop and read alouds. YIKES!!!! Can anybody help me too???
