Our principal is not a real go-getter. He has been told by the school board that we need to do something, but he thinks it will "mean more to the students" if each teacher does something in the classroom to remember 9/11. Several other schools in our district are having tree-planting ceremonies or assemblies. It would be so much easier if my school did that. And I do believe the students would get a lot out of that. But it's not up to me. I teach 6th grade and can't think of anything original. Can anyone help?
