I can relate! My suggestion to you is, if you really are committed to the teaching profession, take a teacher's aide position in a district where you would want to teach. I know the money isn't the best, but if you work full time, you will receive benefits, and because you are certified and working in a school, you may be asked to fill in for a leave of absence or as a long-term sub. Make yourself well known in the school and let the principal know you are interested in teaching positions. Be aware of teaching positions that open up for the next school year and let the principal know you are interested. I can't tell you how much it helps to know someone at a school, and as an aide, you will have the opportunity to know a lot of people in the district.
