    The rules change
    By Julianne

The people who make up these rules don't work in classrooms, do they? Someone thought this would be a great idea and obviously has the power to make it happen. You'll have trouble getting it changed for this year. But the rules can be changed. What I'd suggest is that you try it for this year. But tell your principal that you would like a review of how it goes at the end of the school year with the opportunity to discuss making changes for next fall. That way you look like a team player, but you are still skeptical about the outcome. Then keep track of the major disruptions in your side of the school for this year. By the spring you'll either be convinced that the current system is ok, or you'll have enough documentation to hopefully sway your principal to change the system. Good luck.
