inclusion
By Lilly

Clip to ScrapBook
I think that it is best to have experience teaching in different models. You could request that you get a self-contained class in your next placement. Most schools want teachers with experience collaborating and being able
to differentiate the instruction. Right now inclusion is the may most districts are servicing special education students. It is often a learning process. I would suggest talking with your supervising teacher about your concerns. There may be times when you will work with students in small groups. Often at the beginning of the year more whole group activities are done. As the year
goes along the curriculum becomes more difficult and may require more modifying or working in small groups. It wouldnot look good for you to ask for a change in placement.
Good luck.
