Re: First year

Clip to ScrapBook
I can't speak for all schools because each one is different, but in my school replacement teachers or long-term subs are one of the gang. We had 3 teachers out last year on maternity and although they were missed very much, everyone loved having their long-term subs around as well. When I was hired my principal did not come down to check on me either. Maybe your principal has confidence in you or expects the other teachers to help you out with anything that you need. It's also a very busy time of the year for the administration as well - maybe they just haven't gotten around to checking on everyone yet. Either way, I think that if you friendly to the staff then they will treat you like one of their own. Good luck and have a great year!
