Clip to ScrapBook
Appraoching my 8th year of teaching on Aug. 26th, and can't stop dreams, constant rehearsals of day one in my mind, and worry that I will start the year off on the 'wrong foot, ' and set the wrong tone. I've never had a
"bad class" and there is no Earthly reason for me to worry. I've got a great rep and kids in 3rd grade usually like me, but with me that is an obsession! I go all out in decorations and lesson plans, esp. in the beginning. You'd think I was brand new every year. We all get these nightmares and worries because we know how important first impressions are, and the fact that we get a randomly
chosen bunch of kids each year means that one never can fully anticipate what our class will be like. The saving grace? The more worried you are, the better prepared you usually get. Worried people write lists and accomplish things-- it means we care! Awwwww.... Everyone have a great year!
