ask the kids

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Jenny,

I know what you mean about your creative juices only going so far. Once when I was in a rut for reading b board ideas, I posed the challenge to my kids. I had a contest to see who could come up with the most
clever idea for a reading bulletin board saying and art work. I received so many cool ideas from the kids. Some of them even wanted to actually do the boards. So, I split them into groups, had them choose one of the slogans from the top 10 list (the ones I really liked!!) and they were off. They cut out letters, designed characters, backgrounds, etc... It was awesome! I still refer
to that list whenever I'm stuck. And I still have some of those boards. I had them laminated and am reminded of that great bunch of kids whenever I pull one out to use.
