BMS for MS

I have worked with another new 8th grade teacher and the students really adapted well to her idea. She kept a star chart for each class period. The best class of the day would receive a star and every month she would give out a party for that class period (pizza, bagels, etc). The kids got very competitive with their classmates and also let the other students in the class know that their behavior affected the whole class. The class learned to work as a whole and really enjoyed the party. They also learn that classroom relationships are important and that good behavior does have its benefits and rewards. All kids love it no matter the age.
