first year stuff
By Michael

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi. I am a first year teacher after spending ten years in another (related) field. Although I am not exactly "wet behind the ears", I am still new to teaching and I too am quite nervous about this upcomming year. I have
been dreaming and/or waking up to thoughts of the unknown (who will be in my class, what will they be like, etc...). I will be a resource room teacher so I will have a variety of learning and/or behavior issues as well as all the paper work that goes along with it (the part I really don't like). However, I am excited about the start of the year as well-I feel that I just need to get
past the first day!

Jim Fay is an excellent resource! I was trained in love and logic about seven years ago and it really is a great way to give the kids choices, hold them accountable, teach responsibility, etc. I use it with my own kids and it is great!

Have a good year!
Michael
