this will be my third year teaching and I have an aide also. My aide is a grandmother of seven, and also our Filipino Pastor's wife (private school) She is my angel!! At first I told her I felt awkard asking her to do things. She said "just tell me what you need done, we are sisters!" She so wonderful! What she may lack in book learning she makes up for in life experience AND she helps communicate with some of the parents who understand Tagalog better than English. If you sit down before the school year and talk about your goals and her ideas, it will help you alot.
