Clip to ScrapBook
My students like to "draw" pictures on the computer and print them out. If ClarisWorks has a paint or draw option, that will work. Then I have them type about their picture in a word processing program. After printing both, we cut and paste the words to the picture. We often do this when we are making a class book, so each student can do a page or two.

I have also worked on our imagining skills by having them draw/paint a splotch, and then tell what it could be.

My students also LOVE to type a journal entry on the word processing program, print it, and take it home to their parents. (proof to your parents that your students are starting to use the technology)
