Jim Stone's program clearly models the sounds for these letters. X is said "ks". Q is said "kw" and the sound for u is Uncle Upton. In the program there is an action for each one of these sounds. Once again the program is called Animated Literacy. There are three manuals but the most useful is the one that has the stories characters and songs. If you can only afford one that would be the one. The other two are great but not essential to the teaching of the sounds.Good luck in your new job. This is my 28th year teaching and I am still excited!!!!
