Paper Chain

I used a paper chain last year. I taped a link to the top of my chalkboard and told students that when it reached the bottom of the board, we'd have a party. I cut several strips and kept them in my desk drawer. For every compliment students earned in the hallway, I'd staple a link to the chain. Sometimes, I'd make it "Double Link Day" and students were earn two for every compliment.
