I also teach 3rd and last year I had 31 students as well. It was extremely difficult, especially since it was my first year teaching. As I look back and reflect on how I did, I realize that I did the absolute best that I could, but I was unable to really concentrate on the individual needs of my students very often. Discipline was difficult for me, I thinking mainly because I was new. There were things I tried that I know I will do differently this year. But, I think I would have had trouble with discipline even if I had 10 less students. I think you'll be OK, but it is more time consuming....more papers to grade, report cards to write...PARENTS to deal with. Good luck!
