Daily or Friday Folders

Hi..I'm a fourth grade teacher. I have had both systems, and I find that a weekly (Friday) folder is the best system. I staple all the papers for each student together so that they go home intact and return intact. I put| the bundle in a folder(labeled "Test Folder") for privacy. Every paper must be signed or initialed and returned on Monday. This gives the students a chance to review papers with parents. I save each bundle for documentation. Sending home daily papers becomes very confusing and takes too much to keep track of their return. It is easier to remember one folder a week then several loose papers |

that may be lost. I collate the papers on Thursday evening, and parents know to ask their child for the test folder on Friday. Hope you have a good year. Good Luck
