Sounds somewhat typical

Although there are a couple of things your principal is asking for that I haven't heard before many of the things she is expecting are typical of many schools.

I have to hand in year plans at the beginning of the year.
A weekly schedule of when I'm teaching what subjects as well.
We also do all recess and lunch supervisions on a rotating basis.

I haven't heard about making charts or keeping track of all the assessments like you are doing, but I do know of a couple of schools in my area that do live on paperwork for some reason.

There are ways to combat the workload.

First get a copy of your state

standards and use them in all your lesson planning - simply check off or highlight the ones you are covering. Do not retype them for every lesson. She can't complain really as you are still giving her the information she wants.

Or type them as a checklist and then just submit the checklist with each unit or lesson plan with what you are covering. The checklist can be easily copied.

As a school sit down and talk with her - perhaps she is only wanting these meetings at the beginning of the year until everything is planned out. Ask for more time if necessary. Change only comes with new ideas.

Look for ways to share the workload - if it's charts she wants, see if everyone wants to divide up the work and then meet together in a week or two to put everything together. It's a lot less time consuming if you have to prepare 2 or 3 charts on your own than if you have to meet everyday to discuss them and then work on them as a team.

And unfortunately it may not necessarily be coming from your Principal, it may be coming from higher up and she has to have documentation to appease her superiors. Perhaps by talking with her (on a non-confrontational basis) you can all work out a better system with less paper work but still some accountability.
