SS State Test
By Tricia

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year was the first year we had the state SS test, which was given in Nov. It was also my first year teaching and I taught ALL sections of SS!!!! Talk about pressure! I spent a lot of time looking at charts, graphs,
maps, political cartoons, etc. with the kids so that they were familiar with each of these documents. I had questions that went with each document, and we went over how to answer in complete sentences, what each question is telling you and asking you (given and requested info.). Our test consists of a multiple choice section, CRQ's and a DBQ. By the day of the test the students were
not a bit surprised by anything they saw on that test. If nothing else, they had confidence, which means a lot, and the entire 5th grade passed the test!
Good luck!
