RE: Reading lists..." Esperanza Rising"

Good Morning!!!
I need help before we leave out for a last holiday of the summer
I remembered these questions,too
All information and summaries are greatly appreciated
I am reading to my 10- year- daughter.
The reading list generated here is working already Thank you soooo much.
Now she has begun to read:
"Matilda" and wants to read:
"BFG" by Ronald Dalh, too
So much for a rehearsed audience

I also have found this title:
"Esperanza Rising" by Pam Munoz Ryan
IS this book for social studies, language arts-diversity & culture ? But what is it about? Please, all-can

you tell me about this book? A little summary would surely be appreciated too.

Again, about the titles which are "series books" mentioned in the above posts, do we have to start at the begining book then read all the books in the series in sequence? You know, to get the full picture of the main character's traits,etc.
