Aaaaaaargh!
By Monica

Clip to ScrapBook
Well, I went in for my "interview" this morning. It turns out the principal doing the interviewing doesn't actually have any openings. He was just doing preliminary screening interviews of last-minute candidates, giving
them rankings, and putting their ranked files into the general pool for principals to use when they actually have openings.

He was rather surprised to see me because I already have a ranking from the preliminary interview I completed IN MARCH. As a matter of fact, he was the one who conducted that preliminary interview!

We decided that since I was there, we'd go ahead and do the

interview again, in case there was something he'd missed the first time that could be added to my file. He asked the exact same questions, and I gave what I'm pretty sure were the same answers. At the end of it, he told me, "Well, I gave you a high ranking the first time, and I'll be giving you a high ranking this time. I wish I had an opening for you. I don't know why you had to do this again."

So, unfortunately, my suspicion was probably right. I got plugged into this interview list because the staff member just wanted to get me off the phone.

Even though this turned out to be a really annoying experience, I do want to thank everyone who gave me encouragement. I had a much better attitude going into this interview than I did on Friday!
