1st Day

I have a cute children's picture book called "Never Spit On Your Shoes" (can't remember the author right now?) and I read it to my 1st graders that first week when we're talking about class rules. I have the kids help me come up with our rules together. That way they seem to be a little more accountable to follow them. The book is a great discussion starter.
