I am a third grade teacher and I am also looking for research on departmentalization/team teaching. There are three other third grade classes here at my school (four in all), and we are very interested in team teaching this year, but our principal wants us to present some research on this subject matter. We have all been looking online, and it is easy to find teachers' opinions and first hand explanations of their experiences with team teaching, but we have not had any luck finding research based upon this topic.
