Hi Kelly, Your pen pals idea sounds great! I'm a third grade teacher in Whittier, California. School doesn't start until Sept. 3 for us but I would definitely be interested. I've never been to Alabama so I think I would be learning about your state along with my class too. Most of my students will be Hispanic although they will all speak, read, and write in English.
